Deep Sleep

He had a pair of sunken eyes
Was never seen without those eyes
Misery was his middle name
Was he still in the game
Was he living aimlessly
Perhaps he lived foolishly
Nobody ever knows
Or perhaps it shows
The meaning of his sighs
But no one asked whys
Did he cry of blame
That he never overcame
Those sunken eyes were always empty
Maybe his time stopped already
Perhaps he knows
That it was time to go
Finally into a deep sleep.
