A Crown of A Thousand Stars: Explained

First of all, I would like to give credit to Vienna @see-through-stars (Tumblr) who posted the title prompt as a mod on _writing_ideas_ on Instagram and its counterpart writing-ideas-inc on Tumblr. (see  https://www.instagram.com/p/B21VuRIAg0K/ )       Anyway, as mentioned in the post title, I would like to explain the meaning behind the poem as I fear that my intention is not delivered well through the poem. So first, the title A Crown of A Thousand Stars is interpreted as the honour of hopes and dreams. I'll tell you the reason behind my interpretation.       Crown is associated with honour, glory, pride or victory while stars often symbolise hopes, dreams, magics or wonders. To wear a crown of a thousand stars meant to honour a thousand of your dreams and wonders. There was a child She who dreamed of wonders Eyes filled with light Wishing upon a thousand stars As she put on her crown of a thousand stars. There was a young girl She who stopped dreaming Eyes filled with darkness Forgetting a thousand stars And she whispered quietly As she threw herself  On a bed of a thousand dimmed stars. Little did she know The stars neither shone nor dimmed They were there Unseen, but twinkling weakly Waiting for her to come back Alive and fine Bright and shine For the stars to twinkle again.
