A Crown of A Thousand Stars

There was a child
She who dreamed of wonders
Eyes filled with light
Wishing upon a thousand stars
As she put on her crown of a thousand stars.

There was a young girl
She who stopped dreaming
Eyes filled with darkness
Forgetting a thousand stars
And she whispered quietly
As she threw herself
On a bed of a thousand dimmed stars.

Little did she know
The stars neither shone nor dimmed
They were there
Unseen, but twinkling weakly
Waiting for her to come back
Alive and fine
Bright and shine
For the stars to twinkle again.
